I have been blessed with an amazing husband, three beautiful children and three four legged children...our dogs! Our family life revolves around our children and our fur babies. As the old saying goes “We may not always have it together, but together we have it all” is the perfect description for our little Luft life.
Some folks need coffee everyday to survive...I just need a little chocolate and some Luke Bryan on the radio to have a good day! I am a huge fan of Luke and country music! I could go to country concerts for a living...with a chocolate bar in hand of course!
I am so lucky to have friends that I get to see weekly and get to laugh with always. I also have lifelong friends that I don’t get to see often but when I do it’s like we were never apart. I can’t imagine life for a minute with our my friends!
I grew up on back roads and in a barn...literally! I am the proud daughter of a dairy farmer, was a dairy princess and loved 4H. My two brothers and I never had a family vacation but we were blessed to appreciate hard work at a young age. My rural roots have taught me to appreciate the miracle of where our food comes from, how important the weather is and just how special country living is.
I love that our old home was once a Tea House before the Great Depression and that it still has the swinging door off the kitchen. We have slowly done improvements to our home while keeping its historic character. We love to decorate for holidays and seasons and just adore our little Luft Land.
This guy makes me laugh, keeps me grounded, and is my rock. He is such a good dad and does so much for our family. One of the most hard working people I know who makes me proud with everything he does. This man gives a 110% in everything he does and constantly keeps us all in check. His wit and humor are what I love most about him. He is the reason I am here with a website and .com after my name. He bought me my first digital SLR and said "Do this." When I was afraid to leap he pushed me. What are the chances that the little boy down the road would turn out to be my husband? The most amazing guy to me....
The summer before my 7th grade year my family relocated. I was devastated. I didn't listen to my mom's suggestion that summer to go introduce myself to the "little blonde boy" down the road working in the field with his dad as "he looks to be your age". On the first day at my new school that same blonde haired boy sat directly behind me. I don't remember much of that day but I remember him. I lost track of him through the years of school until 11th grade when he decided I was the next best thing to pick on. (you know what they say about boys that pick on you?!) He and I struck up a friendship that year and have been friends ever since. It wasn't until we were in college that we realize how perfect we were for each other. Here we are 20+ years later with three children, three dogs and a home with love....living the dream.
