Amanda’s Senior Session | Albion High School

This session featured something new for me: a snake! Yes, we really included this senior’s pet snake! Before we get to that, you need to meet this gorgeous senior. Amanda is part of the Class of 2019 at Albion High School, and she is so sweet and outgoing. As I got to know her and her family, they shared about their home, which is a sprawling property with quite the menagerie of animals. I knew their personal property would be perfect for her shoot, since it’s somewhere meaningful for her, and also a place that the animals would be able to be included. Whenever I meet and have a consult with a senior client, we usually think about a way to make their shoot very unique and different than anyone else’s.

Amanda’s family was very helpful with assisting in the session, and getting all the animals together for us. Amanda’s dad has tons of reptiles that he enjoys taking around to educate children about the animals, and so she’s very comfortable around their slithering family members. This girl has grown up around animals and I knew that included pets like Jane (the snake) would capture her family’s livelihood and also some memories for her. Jane was actually quite sweet, and not even a little scary! It was a fun challenge to pose and style these beautiful animals, but I love that it captured such an important aspect of her life.

If you’d like to share a special idea or inspiration with us before your senior session, please let us know at your initial consult, or contact us beforehand so we can make it happen!
