Elba Senior Pictures | Gorgeous Emily. A Fall Senior Session you will love!

Well this beautiful young lady was once a little girl in pigtails not that long ago.  Meet Miss Emily who is all grown up and beautiful!  Before my husband and I had children we were very active in our volunteer fire service in our little town of Elba.  Our Fire Chief was Emily’s grandfather.  Emily’s grandfather, Bill, hosted a fire department get together at his home every Sunday at “3 West Ave” and we got to watch Emily and her brother play!  These little ones were some of the first pictures I took of children.  My husband’s career path opportunity changed on a Sunday at Bill’s and so many good times and tears of laughter were had at his home.  Bill was one of kind and more than just our Chief, he was like a grandfather to all of us.  I was lucky though as I was the only one that got to work with Bill at our job at the Birds Eye in addition to being with him on the weekends. (or at countless hours on fire calls)  I spent hours with this man, that I thought the absolute world of,  and it was never a dull moment with Bill around.  I was always laughing.

I soon became a mom and the fire service was put on the back burner.  My husband became a police officer so he no longer had the time for the fire service as well.  Sadly our Sundays at Bill’s ended but Bill remarried and it was time for him to enjoy Sundays with his new bride Donna who we all love.  Everything worked out like it should except we all didn’t see each other much as we would have liked to.  I would still see Bill now and then and it was like old times.  He had a big heart, a very honest opinion and had no problem telling you when you were screwing up.  LOL.   He loved us all.

Miss Emily continued growing up while I was busy raising babies.  Years past by and suddenly Emily was a senior!  I was thrilled when her mom asked if I would do her senior pictures.  Emily came to her session ready to kill it.   Her cosmetology friends at BOCES had done her hair and make up.  SHE WAS GORGEOUS!  I took a step back when I got out of the car and saw her.  The little girl in pig tails…is a beautiful woman now!  Just look at her!

We had a fantastic session.  The weather and lighting….amazing! Em told me she wanted to include her Grandpa Bill during the session and her Great Grandmother as well.  The beautiful quilt was made by her Great Grandmother and all the images were taken on their family property.  I loved how she wanted to include her family roots.  She had Bill’s helmet and I think we did a good job in remembering him.  We all were teary eyed just thinking about him wearing that helmet, but then…then we thought how he would have told us to quit our crying and we laughed.

I am proud of Emily.  She has grown up to be a great young lady.  Thanks Emily and Beth, her momma, for letting me do this session.  Not only was it fun and emotional, Emily made every bit of this session a breeze.

You are beautiful Emily.
