Rhyan | Senior Photography in Elba NY

Sports and senior year. It’s a lot to take in to process the ending of high school and the beginning of the next chapter, but it’s even more to add in the emotions and pressures of high school sports. Student athletes are a special type of person; they juggle more than you may think, and often they are high-achievers who always strive for their best. Rhyan is one of those kids. He is smart, kind, and driven, and he managed to juggle all of his high school academics with playing multiple sports. So when it came time to plan his senior session, I knew we had to include some of the places that meant the most to him: the track, the football field…so many memories. Of course, when seniors ask for athletic type sessions, they also need traditional images for their yearbook or graduation announcements, so we did some of those at the end of the shoot.

When dreaming up what you might want for your senior session, I want to encourage you to include any sport or activity that you are a part of. Most people think that the basketball court or football field are the only suitable backdrops to include in a shoot, but we can include things like a tennis court, a swimming pool, even horseback riding! Just let me know when you book that you have something in mind, and I’d love to come up with a creative way to incorporate your ideas. And it’s not limited to sports; we can add in things like your favorite book or hobby, a musical instrument, or a tee shirt to show off your new college home. There are no limits to how we can add your personality to your shoot, and I’d love to dream something special up with you!
