I know so many families who say that their new year resolution is to have their family photos done, or their high school senior’s portraits completed. It’s a really common New Years resolution, because photos can be an investment, and can be hard to manage with a busy family’s schedule. I want to encourage you to make this the year of photos, and here’s why:

-We are living in unpredictable times: Our families are more cherished than ever, and making memories with them is even more important than ever. Documenting your family’s stages of life is something you will never look back on, and regret, and it can bond you together like nothing else. Don’t put off photos for another time or year, instead, make time for it now!
-Your child’s senior year is once-in-a-lifetime: Senior year, albeit different, is something you will never experience again with your child. Don’t miss the moment by wondering if you should or shouldn’t do a senior portrait session..you should! Everyone loves looking back on their senior shoot (yes, even if you’ve changed or cringe at your fashion choices!), and being able to share them with your children or grandchildren.
-It’s a chance to make NEW memories with a fresh start: Many of us are purging and organizing our houses with the new year, and it’s the perfect time to frame and include new family photos. As you redecorate or change things up, think about the colors or style you may want for new family photos, and let’s dream it up together! I’d love to hear what you have in mind for photos that will fit perfectly in your decor, office, or living room.
-Photos are something to look forward to: With such turbulent times, and many of us not traveling or planning lavish trips, photos are a beautiful and exciting thing to anticipate and be excited for. I love helping moms or families choosing their outfits, learn more about posing and locations, and finding just the right spot to show their personalities.
