Why Mini Sessions?

You may have seen on our Facebook page recently, that we finished up a packed schedule of mini sessions for the holidays! I love mini sessions, and the holiday magic that comes with them. Especially this year, the magic and hope of the holidays is extra special, and getting to do photos for my clients made my heart so full! Of course, we are following all the COVID protocols for safety here at LLP, and our client’s safety is always top priority. It was so nice to have a bit of “normalcy”, though, in such a tumultuous year. I offer mini sessions during the year, for different occasions. Here are why they are beneficial to my clients:

-A mini session is budget friendly: We understand that heirloom portraits are an investment, and for some families, they’re not possible. That’s what makes our minis so special, they are ideal for the veteran or new client alike, because they are not a full session and therefore, they are less expensive. Even if you do a full session during the year, a mini is a fun addition for extra photos for announcements, holiday cards, or just because.

-A mini session is shorter: For some families with little ones, a mini session is so much easier and less stressful than a full one. Especially if you don’t do family photos very often, a mini session can be a pleasant introduction for your little ones to learn how to interact with a photographer. The length is shorter, and can be the perfect way to begin a tradition of family photos.

-A mini session can be themed: I plan my mini sessions around the holidays or the seasons typically, but it’s really fun for my clients to plan them with a “theme”. If they are done in the fall, many decide to dress in autumn tones or colors, whereas a holiday shoot will inspire some to dress in their Christmas best! It’s a much less intense way to do themed photos than utilizing a full shoot with a single look. They make the perfect holiday card photos!

-A mini session solidifies your family’s relationship with your photographer: There is something really special about becoming a legacy photographer, who gets to work with families or seniors over several years. It gives you a special bond, that really can’t be replicated. The children who see me year after year love their photoshoots, and get excited to see me again. I get the joy of reuniting with clients over the years, and seeing their families grow! I also love the cohesiveness that it will give you as you choose photos to frame and display in your home…they will all have a similar look and feel.

Stay tuned to the blog as we will be announcing our mini opportunities for 2021!
